The latest addition to Ferrari’s Corse Clienti customer driver program stable is the 499P Modificata, which offers an even closer experience to being a racing driver than before. Unlike previous track specials from Ferrari, the 499P Modificata is not based on a road-legal model and is not a technology testing platform. The car looks identical to the Le Mans-winning race car, but without the restrictions of the World Endurance Championship’s rules. It features a 3-liter V6 engine combined with an electric motor, delivering a total of 697 bhp, with an additional boost from the front axle bringing it up to 858 bhp. The car feels more responsive and precise, especially when coming out of turns. The pushrod suspension, tires from Pirelli, and a push-to-pass system add to the overall performance. The price is expected to be over $5 million, with full factory support from Ferrari.
